Congratulations to our New President, Ms. Vanessa Stanley who officially took over the helm at our first meeting of the new year.
Special Acknowledgement:
In December 2018, Mrs. Alberta (Martin) Moore ended her 9 years as president of "Gabriel Cemetery Association, Inc.". Her extraordinary dedication and service will be greatly missed. Mrs. Moore (now in her eighties) involvement in the preservation of Gabriel Cemetery is a compelling story within itself. Encourage by her mother upon returning back home (to Pascagoula in 1980's); to get involved and through much frustration giving up to only return two years later to fulfill the wishes of her mother. Both her father and mother are buried at Gabriel. Again, thank you Mrs. Alberta Moore for your leadership and service!
Summer of 2018
With the assistance of Mr. James Torrey, Gabriel Cemetery Association, Inc. was able
to acquire the help of the Mississippi National Guard. What a great day and great time we had
in their presence from individual volunteers, to high school students, and special community
groups. Thank you all, so very much from the Gabriel Cemetery Association, Inc.
